Chinese Lunch In Japan

こちらは、ある日の中華料理店でのランチ。こんなものかな、という感じだったのでどこかは書きませんが、賑やかだったので人気のようでした。わたしはメインに酢豚を選びましたがわたしには少し酸味が強く、妹たちが選んだ鶏肉に甘酸っぱいソースをかけたものの方が美味しかったです。ショウロンポーが思っていたより美味しかったのですが、生姜の千切りがタレについてこないのが残念でした。香港に住んだ時期が長いので、中華料理はシンガポールでも日本でも感激がないのです。

This is the lunch I had at a Chinese restaurant in Japan.  It was just OK.  I chose Sweet & Sour Pork but it was a little too sour to my taste (but I tend to not like sour flavour in general so much).  I think the chicken dish (with sweet and sour sauce over chicken cutlet type of thing) was nicer.  I thought the pork dumpling was nicer than I expected but I missed having slices of fresh ginger.  As I lived in Hong Kong, where Chinese is really excellent, for many years, I’m spoiled for life, not many Chinese meals impress me.
