オーストラリアのお友達がロシアとヨーロッパ旅行の帰りに寄ってくださって、今日から２泊されます。わたしたちがまだ日本に住んでいたとき、夫と同じ会社から日本に赴任されていた先輩ご夫婦なので、２０年以上のお知り合い。４年半ほど前にシドニーでお目にかかって以来です。夕食は、大阪キッチンにお連れしました。

A couple of friends from Australia are staying with us for 2 nights on their way back from their holiday in Russia and Europe.  They lived in Japan when we were there, the husband worked in the same company as my husband though they are quite a bit more senior than us.  I think the last time we saw them was 4 and a half years ago in Sydney.  We took them to Osaka Kitchen for dinner.

きゅうりのラー油漬け。

Cucumber in chilli oil.

ごま豆腐（２オーダー）。

Grilled Goma Tofu.

アスパラガス。

Asparagus.

近江牛のコロコロステーキ。

Ohmi beef steak.

豚玉。

Buta-tama Okonomi-yaki.

ソバメシ。

Soba-meshi.

わたしは黒豆ときな粉のアイス、他３人はゆずのシャーベット。

For dessert, I had Black Beans & Kinako (soy bean powder) ice cream and others had Yuzu sherbet.

 

 

どれも美味しかったです！

Everything was delicious!

２時ごろうちにいらしたのですが、それから夕食も挟んで夜１０時過ぎまでずっとおしゃべりが続きました。まだまだ、キャッチアップし足りません。

They arrived at our place around 2.00pm and we chatted for the whole time until around 10.00pm non-stop, but I feel there is a lot more to catch up on!
