今日はまた、すごい雷雨でした。この時期はそれほど雨が多い時期ではないはずですが、今年は多い気がします。丁度お友達がカードを作りにいらしていたのですが、近くに落ちた雷で一度ブレーカーが落ちてしまい、（ブレーカーがある場所は知っていましたが、どれを動かせば良いのかわからなかったので）マネージメントの方が来てくださるまで薄暗い中での作業でした（笑）。夫のコンピューターがあるデスクの辺りで少し焦げ臭い匂いもしたので心配でしたが、今の所支障ないようです。

今日いらした方は先週もいらしていて、合わせて４枚、紫陽花の水彩画のカードを作られました。丁度日本は紫陽花の季節ですよね。

We had a heavy rain with thunder this afternoon.  A friend was here to make cards and with one bang nearby the breaker of the electricity went down.  Although I knew where the box was I didn’t know which one I should move so we had to wait for the management to come and fix it – so my friend was trying to paint without a properly lit room.  We could smell a little burned smell from my husband’s desk area, which was a little worrying, but so far it seems OK.

This friend made a couple of cards last week as well, so she’s made 4 cards altogether (one day last week and today), all with hydrangeas painted with watercolour.

I think it’s the season of hydrangea in Japan now.
