ピオニーはもう枯れてきていて、今年は終わりみたいです。ラベンダーが綺麗になってきました。でも、お隣のフロントガーデンのラベンダーの比べるとお花が少ない。

Peonies are looking on their way out, not looking very pretty any longer.  Lavenders are looking pretty now although their flowers don’t seem to be as dense as those in the next door’s front garden.

日陰にある紫陽花は、少しずつ咲いて来ています。陽が当たるところの紫陽花は、まだまだな感じ。多分、もっとお水をあげないといけないのだと思います、時々しおれているのでわたしが慌ててあげてはいるのですが、暑い陽が続いた頃にもっとあげなくてはいけなかったのではと思います。お花も小さいような気がするので、もっと早くに肥料をあげなくてはいけなかったのではないかしらと思います。

Some more hydrangeas in the shade are opening up slowly but those that get a lot of sun look far from flowering.  The ones in sunny spots were looking unwell a few times but after I watered them they did revive.  I think they need much more water than we are giving, specially when we’ve had a hot spell.  I also wonder if we should have given some food earlier in the year as the flowers and leaves look small.

そして、ふと気がつくと何度かアップしたジャスミンとは違う種類のジャスミンが咲いていました。アップしたジャスミンより１ヶ月ほど遅れて咲いたようで、知らないうちに咲いていました。

I didn’t see them until yesterday but these are also jasmine and they were flowering nicely.  The ones I’ve blogged before are different type, which started to flower about a month ago.

ちょっと前にアップした、家の前のグリーンに植えられている木ですが、りんごかなと書いていたのはクラブアップルじゃないかと義妹からの情報がありました。まだ実が小さい時期なので、もっと大きくなるのか小さいままなのかはわかりません。

The trees I thought apples that are in the green in front of us may be crabapples.  They are still small and I don’t know if they are going to be larger or they’ll stay small.

で、昨日、他の木をみたら洋梨もあるようでした。

Yesterday, I looked at other small trees and found out some of them were pears – aren’t they?

今日、グリーンのお世話をしてもらっている業者の方が手入れをされて、それぞれの木の根元に肥料を撒いて行かれました。どれくらい実が大きくなるのか楽しみです。

The gardener who is looking after the green and the rest of the property came this morning and did some work including putting some food for these trees around the bottoms.  I’m looking forward to seeing how large they will become.
