Stir-fried Mince Pork With Basil

Our interior designer came this afternoon so we could decide which my Oshie pictures or My oil paintings or any other things to put where, then an hour later the guy who was to put them up for us came.  He managed to put up most of the pictures but there are still some left (he worked from 2.00pm until nearly 5.00pm) so he’ll be back to finish the rest.  As we didn’t want to put any up until the renovation is over and the walls are painted, so we were finally able to go ahead, which I feel finishes our house off.  Once all is up, I’ll take photos and blog the rooms again.

Today’s dinner was Stir-fried Mince Pork with Basil.  We used 2 Birdseye chillis last time and found it too mild so this time we used 3.  Maybe just the right spiciness although we could maybe have had one more.  I sometimes fail to make a good looking sunny side up egg but made a success with both today.

Although you use quite a few seasonings to make up the sauce you don’t need a lot of ingredients for this dish, just mince pork, green beans (originally long beans but we cannot get them here so I often use ordinary green beans), garlic, chilli & basil.  They are all available anywhere, it doesn’t take long to cook and is very satisfying, so this is probably the most often cooked Thai food in our home.
