最初はチューリップ？それとも水仙？と思う葉っぱがたくさん出てきて、育つにつれてチューリップでも水仙でもないとわかってきたのですが、たくさんのアリウムが葉っぱを出していて、少し前から蕾も見えてきています。まだほとんどが根本に蕾がある状態ですが、いくつかは茎が伸びてきて、蕾が色づいてきました。あと２週間くらいで咲くかな？

We didn’t know what these plants were, we first thought tulips or daffodils but as they grow a little bigger we could tell they weren’t either of those and found out that they are actually Alliums.  A little while ago we noticed that many of them had buds in the middle of the leaves but the stem

s are now growing longer and some of the buds started colouring.  Maybe some will flower in a couple of weeks.

アリウム、お花はきれいで好きなのですが、一度買って飾っていたら匂いが気になって、早めに捨ててしまったことがありました。お庭中あの匂いに包まれなければ良いですが（笑）。かなりな数あるので、ちょっと心配です。

Alliums look lovely and I remember I bought some once, I think in Singapore, and put them in a vase but they started to smell strongly and I got rid of them before they were completely gone.  I hope our garden will not be full of that smell….  There are so many of them, I’m a little worried.
