Ramen Salad


Today’s lunch was cold Ramen with lots of vegetables (Ramen Salad).  This is something most Japanese have only in summer when it’s hot and I think it’s still quite hot in Japan now but definitely not hot here.   It’s gone cold and even feels a bit like winter but it has been relatively warm since yesterday so it didn’t feel too wrong.  If we don’t eat them now we will have to throw them away (I buy a kit of ramen and sauce) and I actually enjoy it any time of year.   The toppings were cucumber, ham, thinly cooked egg, rocket, tomato, yellow pepper, roasted pepper.   Rocket leaves are not traditionally used in this but I find they work really well, it was very tasty.
