今日は、家に近い方のおパティオの大きなポット２つに植え付けをして、別にオーダーしていたアスチルベをジメジメしているところに植え付けました。ポット２つに植えたのは、ペチュニアとロベリア。ペチュニアは避けたかったのですが、なかなか他のチョイスがなくて、奥のパティオとは違うものにしたかったので結局ペチュニアになってしまいました。因みに、インスタのフィードにポットへの植え付けのとても簡単な方法を見かけたのでトライしてみたところ、いつもよりずっと簡単に短時間で出来ました！次回するときに写真を撮ってみようと思います。

We planted some summer plants in the 2 large pots, which are on the patio close to the house and also planted 6 astilbes that I ordered and were delivered today in the damp area.  The plants we chose for the pots are petunias and lobelias.  I tried to find something else other than petunias as I didn’t want them to look the same as the other 2 large pots on the far patio – but I couldn’t so ended up getting petunias anyway.  Incidentally, we tried a new way of planting into the pots that I saw on a short vide that came in on Facebook and it worked brilliantly, much easier, quicker and less messy.  We’ll try to take photos next time when we plant some pots.

今日は土曜日、ということで夫が夕食を担当してくれたのですが、昨日夕方、「あ、明日、僕がディナー担当だった、どうしよう〜！」と困っていたので、ステーキあるし、ステーキにしたら？ということに。ステーキは他の日でも夫担当なんですけどね（笑）。ステーキのマリネはわたし、そして、ポテトのドーフィノアもわたしが作りました。

It’s a Saturday today, so my husband was in charge of dinner.  Late last night, he suddenly said, “Oh, no, I have to cook dinner tomorrow!  What should I cook???”, so I very kindly suggested steaks.  He is in charge of cooking steaks any day of a week that we have them, so it didn’t seem quite right, but I’m being nice to him.  I marinaded the steaks and also cooked the Potato Dauphinoise.

ステーキ、とても美味しかったです！時々、ちょっとドライな時があるのですが、多分お肉自体が違うのだと思います。そして、今日のはとても大きかったので、わたしは３分の１くらい、夫も４分の１くらい残しました。残ったステーキは、近々、ディナーに登場する予定です。

The steaks were delicious!  Sometimes they are a little dry, I think the meat itself is different every time.  They were very large today, so I left about 1/3 and even my husband left about 1/4 but they will be used for another dinner in a couple of days.
