今日は、業者の方がソーラーパネルの電池を設置に来られました。ソーラーパネルを設置した時、いろいろ検討して高価な電池を設置しても見返りが十分にないと判断してつけなかったのですが、その後いろいろ考えて、やっぱりつけようということになり、今日がその設置の日でした。お天気予報は１日中高確率で雨でしたが、幸い午前中は降らず、丁度お昼頃にほんの１０分ほど激しい雨が降りましたが、その後は降りませんでした。良い方にはずれてよかったです。雨の中での作業は危ないですし、作業されている方が気の毒なので。結局、足りない部品があったので完全ではないのですが、今日できる作業は３時ごろに終わって、月曜日にまた来られて完成する予定です。暖房はガスですが、冷房は電気で、我が家は夜中に冷房をつけることが多いですし、食洗機も夜に回しておきたいので、冬の間はあまり出番はないと思いますが、夏の間は電池は活躍してくれると思います。
We had a battery for the solar panels installed today. When we had the solar panels installed, after researching and calculating, my husband decided that adding a battery was too expensive but since then, having seen how much of the solar-made power was not being used on some days, he changed his mind and decided to add it and today was the installation day. The weather forecast said it was going to be raining all day but fortunately it was wrong for the better, it didn’t rain in the morning at all. It did rain quite heavily for about 10 minutes in mid day but not since, so it wasn’t too bad. It seems a little dangerous to work in rain and also we feel bad for the workers. Apparently there was something they need that didn’t arrive in time so they couldn’t finish it today but they did what they could and left around 3:00pm; they’ll be back on Monday to finish it off. Although the heating doesn’t use electricity, the air-conditioning units do and specially the one in the bedroom is usually on at night during the warm time. I also sometimes do washing at night and prefer to use the dishwasher at night, too, so I expect that the battery will be very useful in summer, though maybe not so much in winter.
お天気が悪く気温も下がり、また、クラフトルームでは足元のヒーターを使っています。動いていれば寒くないのですが、じっと座っていると寒い。
The weather wasn’t good and the temperature had gone down so it felt cold in my craft room today so I used the little heater that I have at my feet again. Not that cold but if you are not moving and just sitting it does feel a bit chilly.
今日の夕食は、冷凍庫のものを使ってパスタ、にしました。１パックだけでは少し足りなさそうだったので、￥ナスとトマトとパプリカのパスタソース（ほぼラタトゥユ）とラタトゥユを合わせました。とても美味しかったです。
Today’s dinner was a quick pasta using some sauce that we had frozen. One pack of a sauce didn’t seem enough so I combined “Aubergine, tomato & pepper sauce” and “ratatouille” together to make a sauce, it was really tasty.
ソーラーパネル、建築士の人が「蓄電池が出たらソーラーなんて」みたいなことをおっしゃっていて、入れなかったんです。
でもイギリスでも夏はそんなに電気作って暮れるなら、日本ならもっと？と思っちゃいます。
ラタトゥイユソースのスパゲティ、美味しそう〜！
今夏はクルジェットがほとんど売られてなくて、ラタトゥイユは１回しか食べられませんでした。
ポークwithズッキーニももっと食べたかったし、ちょっと心残り。
専門的なことはわからないのですが
ソーラーパネル、少なくとも夏の間は結構作ってくれるみたいですよ。
昼間はほとんど電気代、かかっていないようです。
日本なら冬でも結構太陽が出るので効率良いと思うのですが。
あら、クルジェット、不作だったんでしょうか。
ポークwithズッキーニがあまり食べられなかったのは
残念でしたね。
幸か不幸か、イギリスは結構いろいろなところから入ってくるせいか
クルジェットも一年中あるんですよね。
ラタトゥユって結構大量に作ってもあまり手間は変わらないですし
こちらの大きな茄子やクルジェットを使うと
１本ずつしか使わなくても大量に出来ちゃうので
冷凍するのは良かったです。
特に味が落ちたということもなかったし。
今日は、昨日少し残っていたのをトーストにのせて
その上に目玉焼きをのせて食べましたが
美味しかったです！
