今日は、用があって少しチチェスターを歩きましたが、冷たい風が強く吹いていてとても寒く感じました。最高気温はそうでもないのですが、明日から最低気温がどんどん下がって寒くなって行くようです。

I had a hair appointment in Chichester and walked in the town a little and found the wind very cold and strong today.  It looks like the highest temperature doesn’t change a lot but the lowest temperature will go lower and lower from tomorrow.

今日は、お友達ご夫婦と Emsworth のインド料理店「The Spice Village」でキャッチアップのディナーをご一緒しました。この辺り（と言っても我が家から４０分くらいかかるのですが）で行ったインド料理では、ここが一番美味しいかな、と思います。

We had a catch up dinner with our friends at The Spice Village in Emsworth.  I feel this is the best Indian restaurant we’ve been to so far around here (it does take 40 minutes from us, though).

わたしたちはサモサ、アルゴビ、バターチキン、オクラのカレー、スティームライス、ナンをオーダー、お友達ご夫婦はチキンカレー２種類、茄子のカレー、ピラフ、ナンをオーダーし、シェアーしました。

We ordered samosa, aloo gobi, butter chicken, okra curry, steamed rice & naan, our friends ordered 2 kinds of chicken curry, aubergine curry, pilau & naan.

どれも、美味しくいただきました。ビールの大２杯、小２杯、ガス入りのお水１杯とで、１組50ポンドほど（９８５０円）とイギリスとしてはかなりリーズナブルでした。多分、ロンドンなら同じようなお店でも70ポンドか80ポンドになると思います。

It was all good and we enjoyed the meal.  With 2 pint and 3 half pints of beer and a bottle of sparkling water, it was about £50 per couple, which is very reasonable in England.   I would guess it would be between £70 and £80 in a similar restaurant in London.

今日もたくさんホリデーの話しなどして、楽しいひとときでした。お２人は来月初めにまたクルーズ、その前にも小旅行をされるので次回お目にかかれるのは来年になりそうです。まだ早いけど、楽しいクリスマスをと言いながらお別れしました。

We chatted over holidays, cruises, etc with them and had a great catch up. They are going to be on another cruise early next month and have a short trip or two before then so it’ll be next year when we see them next time, so we said Merry Christmas even though it’s a bit too early.
