今日は、今月のズームによる「Ecole Chez Haru」のフランス菓子教室がありました。クリスマスの回、の今回教えていただいたのは、
＊２０２４年版 シューのクリスマスケーキ
＊抹茶のマカロン
今日は少し長丁場で３時間半ほどかかりました。また、レッスンが終わった時点でマカロンは冷めていなかったので、冷めてからガナッシュを挟みました。
I had my French Patisserie lesson (Ecole Chez Haru) on Zoom this afternoon and learned how to bake:
- Choux De Noel – 2024 (Choux Christmas Cake 2024)
- Macarons Au Matcha (Matcha Macarons)
The lesson lasted 3 and a half hours today. My macarons were not cooled yet when we finished the class so I sandwiched the ganache (matcha & white chocolate) to finish them after the lesson.
シューのクリスマスケーキのシューは、クッキー生地をのせて焼いているのですが、クッキー生地に食紅と抹茶で赤とグリーンの色をつけています。でも、色が全然綺麗に出ませんでした、悲しい。焼きすぎて色がついてしまったせいもあると思いますが、食紅は入れすぎたのかな？抹茶は余り綺麗に色が出ないですね。
Choux Christmas Cake’s choux has cookie dough on top and the cookie dough is coloured with colouring to make some red and with matcha to make the others green, but they didn’t work very well, the colours didn’t come out nicely. I think partly because I probably baked them a little too long but also perhaps I put too much of the red colouring? Matcha doesn’t seem to have strong enough colour.
そして、飾りは主に夫がしました、賑やかな方が好きな夫（笑）。
My husband chose the decorations – more is more for him!
ディナーのポストでもアップしましたが、さっそく、デザートにクリスマスケーキのシューをいくつかいただきました、とても美味しかったです。抹茶はわたしより夫が大好き。
I’ve already posted these photos on my dinner post, but we had some of the choux after dinner, they were delicious. My husband loves Matcha more than I do.
抹茶のマカロン。ホワイトチョコレート、生クリーム、抹茶のガナッシュが挟んであります。最近習っているケーキやお菓子類は、ほとんどが何かの形で以前習ったことがあるものや習ったものがベースの場合が多いのですが、マカロンはシンガポールでレッスンがあったときに受けられなかったので、初めて焼きました。こちらは、夜、テレビ番組を見ながら摘みましたが、むぎゅっとした食感でとても美味しかったです。
Matcha Macarons. In between there is a ganache of white chocolate, cream & matcha. Most of the cakes I’ve been learning on Zoom are somewhat familiar as I’d learned some version of them before, but this was the first macarons that I’ve I baked because I wasn’t able to take the macaron lesson when she taught it when we both lived in Singapore. We had a couple of them each watching a TV programme at night, it has very chewy texture, very nice.
