クルーズ５日目、今朝、モンテネグロに着きました。モンテネグロは、今回が初めてですが、とてもとても美しい景色に囲まれた港です。そして、モンテネグロの街は街中にあって、船から街への入り口まで5分ほどととても便利です。
Day 5 of our cruise, we arrived early morning in the port of Kotar,Montenegro. The view from the port is breathtakingly beautiful and it’s right at the main part of the city, just about 5 minutes to walk from the ship to the gate to the city. This is our first time to be in Montenegro.
ツアーは午後だったので下船する前に洗濯とアイロンがけをして、ビュッフェレストランでランチをしました、昨日と同じサラダとパン。家ではいつもランチの後林檎を食べるのですが、船の林檎は美味しくなかったので、フルーツサラダにしました。
The excursion we took was in the afternoon so we did washing and ironing in the morning, then had lunch at the World Cafe before we got off the ship. Just like yesterday we just chose some salads and bread. At home we always have an apple each at lunch time but the apples on the ship have not been enjoyable so we had a small bowl of fruit salad instead.
今日参加したツアーは、午後1時からとゆっくりスタートで、旧市街を歩くツアーですが1時間半ほどで終わりました。モンテネグロの歴史や文化についていろいろお話を聞きながら小さな街を少し歩き、途中、マリタイム・ミュージアムにも入りました。
The excursion we took started at 1:00pm and it’s as only about an hour and a half’s walking tour of the old town. We walked in the small old city slowly listening to the guide talking about Montenegro’s history and culture, we also went in the Cathedral of St Tryphon and the Maritime Museum.
ツアーの後、解散したところにあるカフェでお茶（夫はビールを、わたしはピーチ風味のアイスティーをいただきました）いただいて休憩してから船に戻りました。船に戻るタイムリミットは3時半だったので近いとは言えあまりゆっくりとは出来なかったのが残念ですが、山が背景に絵になる素敵な街でした。お天気も良く、でも暑くはなく、観光にベストなお天気でした。
After the tour, we had a little rest at the cafe near where the tour finished, my husband had beer and I had Peach Flavoured Iced Tea for a little while. The time limit to be back on the board was 3:30pm so sadly we didn’t have much time to spend in the city, but it was really beautiful with the mountains so close in the background. The weather was beautiful, quite warm but not too hot.
船に戻ってしばらくエクスプローラーラウンジで本を読んだりブログをしたりしたのですが、今日の出航は4時半と早かったのでとても混んでいました。モンテネグロの港は入江になっていて景色も美しく航路も細くなったところを抜けていくのでちょっと特別なこともあったのか、船のデッキも大勢の人で賑わっていました。
We went to the Explorer Lounge to read a book etc after getting back on board but it was very busy, probably because the sailing out time was very early (4:30) and also the port of Montenegro is very special with the beautiful surroundings and the route to the port being through a narrow inlet. The deck was full of people watching the view, too.
今日の夕食はどうしようかと夫と話して、4時からアフタヌーンティーをして、夜は軽く何かつまもうということになったので、4時からアフタヌーンティーをいただきました。前回のクルーズでもいただいたのですが、スコーンはあまり美味しくなかったのでスコーンは食べず、サンドイッチとケーキだけ。どちらも少量なのでそれほどお腹は膨れませんでした。
My husband and I talked what to do about dinner and in the end decided to have the afternoon tea and have something very light in the evening. We’ve had afternoon tea a couple of times on our last cruise but we didn’t think their scones were very nice so we had it without scones today. The sandwiches and cakes are quite small so it wasn’t too filling.
夕食は、結局、ビュッフェのレストランでタンタン麺を食べました。担々麺はとても量が少ないので夫もわたしも2杯ずついただき、小さな小さな器のフルーツサラダとクッキーを1枚ずつが夕食でした。
So our evening meal was Dan Dan noodles (we had 2 bowls each because they are very small), a small bowl of fruit salad and one cookie each at the World Cafe.
