さて、月曜日の夕方４時ごろに、夫の弟、奥さん、姪っ子が到着し、今回のホリデーのメンバーが全員集合しました。

My husband’s younger brother, his wife and their daughter arrived together around 4:00pm on Monday – so all the members of this holiday were now there.

フルーツやスナックやお茶などなど、大人７人分となると大きなキッチンカウンターに一杯。

A lot of stuff like fruits, snack, tea etc.

みんなで食べる初めてのディナーだったので、シャンパンで乾杯。

We had Champagne before dinner as this was the first dinner with everybody together.

外食をしない日のディナーは、持ち回りですることに。この日は、義弟夫婦と姪っ子が夕食を作ってくれました。甥っ子の奥さんがベジタリアンなので、家で食べた３食はどれもベジタリアン。この日は、ベジタリアン・チリ。美味しかったです。食後はフルーツを少しいただきました。

We took turns for the dinners at the house and my brother-in-law, his wife, and their daughter cooked the dinner on Monday. As the wife of our nephew is vegetarian, the meals we cooked at the house were all vegetarian.  It was Vegetarian Chilli this day and it was very tasty.  We had some fruits as a dessert.
