今日は、Cowdray Farm Shop & Cafe に行って軽くランチをして、近くを４０分くらいお散歩して、ファームショップでお買い物をして来ました。

We went to Cowdray Farm Shop & Cafe, had lunch at the cafe, walked around the grounds for about 40 minutes, then did some shopping at the Farm Shop.

 

 

ランチは２人とも、カプレーゼ・サンドイッチにしました。結構なボリュームで、わたしは少し残してしまいました。

We both had Caprese Sandwich, which was quite filling and I couldn’t finish it.

 

ランチの後、近くをぐるっと４０分くらい歩きました。何かの催しが行われていていつも通るところが通行禁止になっていたので遠回りになったのですが、そのお陰でこれまで歩いたことがなかったルーインのすぐ近くや古いお家が並ぶところなどを歩けて楽しかったです。丁度お昼頃から３時間くらい曇っていて歩き始めは肌寒いくらいでしたが、歩いているうちに暑くなりました。

After lunch, we walked in their grounds for about 40 minutes.  They were having some function and a part of the path that we usually walk was closed so we walked a long way around, but this made us walk very near the ruins of Cowdray Castle (which burned down in 1793) and also see some lovely old houses.  It was quite cloudy for about three hours from lunch time, so it felt a little cold with short sleeves at first but the I got warm once I walked for a while.
