今日も昨日と同じで朝は雨模様でしたがお昼頃には良いお天気になり、日が暮れるまで晴れていました。でも、最近はお天気が良い日でも、８時は真っ暗になるようになりました。

Like yesterday it rained in the morning but it was sunny by lunch time and was lovely until the sunset.  Talking about sunset, it’s totally dark by 8:00pm these days, which is sad.

ズッキーニもチーズも残っていたので、今日の夕食は、先週、フランス菓子教室で習ったズッキーニのケーキとサラダにしました。ズッキーニのケーキには今日は少しだけチョリソを足して、少し大きめに焼きたかったのですがちょうど良い型がなかったので同じ型に１.５倍の生地を入れて少し温度を下げて長く焼きました。添えたサラダは、夫が作ってくれました。サラダに入っていたのは、トマト、玉ねぎ、きゅうり、アボカド、サラダ菜類、１切れだけ残っていた生ハム、美味しいサラダでした。ズッキーニケーキは４分の１だけ残っていますが、明日にでもいただきます。

Today’s dinner was the Savoury Courgette Cake that I learned how to bake at the French Baking Class last week.  I added a little chorizo to the mix this time.  We wanted the cake to be a little larger than the one I baked at the class but we don’t have the right size cake tin so I used the same tin and made 1.5 times of the batter, baked it at slightly lower temperature for longer.  My husband made the salad with tomato, onion, cucumber, avocado, salad leaves & one slice of Serrano Ham that was left over.  There is a quarter of the courgette cake left, so we’ll have that tomorrow.
