昨日泊まった Alfriston の「The Star」は元々パブなのでお部屋はどれも小さく、わたしたちのお部屋は一番小さなお部屋より少し大きなお部屋ですが、それでもかなり狭かったです。このホテルは、経営がうまく行っていないホテルに行っていろいろアドバイスをする方とそのお母様が数年前に購入されてリノベーションをされて経営されているホテルで、インテリアがとても素敵です。たくさんのパターンが使われているけれど調和が取れていて、個性のあるインテリア。

“The Star”‘ in Alfriston was a pub and the rooms are quite small.  Our room was one size larger than the smallest but it was still quite small.  The hotel belongs to someone (and her mother), well known for a TV programme, in which she visits hotels that are not doing well and give advice to improve their performance, they bought this pub, renovated it and are running it.  I like the interior of this hotel, all the patterned fabrics are working very nicely together and show some character.

ベッドサイドのテーブルの代わりにデスクが使われていて、物を置くスペースがゆったり目にあるのも素敵。

I loved the idea of using desks to work as bedside tables, which give more space to put things on than typical bedside tables.
