最近は１日のうちに何度か雨が降る日が多かったのですが、今日は久しぶりに良く晴れてとっても良いお天気で、気温も２１度まで上がりました。でも、明日はまた雨、気温も最高１９度、最低温度８度、日曜日からは更に寒くなって最高気温１６度、そしてなんと最低気温６度、月曜日は最低気温５度だそうです。もう、冬ですか？イギリスって、秋がない。まぁ、８月はもう暑くないので８月が秋、９月は冬？

Recently, it hasn’t been very good weather and we had rain a few times a day but it was very sunny and beautiful weather today and the temperature went up to 21C.  However, it’s forecasted to rain tomorrow and the temperature is expected to be 19C the highest, 8C the lowest.  From Sunday it’ll get even colder, the highest 16C, the lowest 6C, then the lowest 5C on Monday!  Is it already winter?  We don’t seem to get autumn in England.  Maybe August was autumn as it wasn’t that warm and gets into winter in September?

今日の夕食は、「Family Favourite Pork and Apple Burger with Rosemary Wedges and Rocket Salad」（ファミリーが大好きなポークとりんごのバーガー、ローズマリーのポテト・ウェッジ、ロケットサラダ）でした。以前もオーダーしたことがあって、ポークバーガーにはリンゴを粗く折した物、バン粉、ニンニクのすりおろし、塩、胡椒が入っていて、上にチェダーチーズをのせて溶かします（わたしはチーズなし）。バンズにも林檎とセージのジャムをのせるので甘めの味付けですが、美味しかったです。わたしたちは、そこにトマトと玉ねぎを足しました。添えるポテトのウェッジは量を減らして、ドライローズマリーと塩胡椒をかけるところ夫はローズマリーの代わりにクミンシード（先日、美味しかったので）をかけていました。もう１つ、ロケットのサラダを添えますが、わたしたちはトマト、きゅうり、アボカド、玉ねぎを足してたっぷりのサラダにしました。とても美味しかったです。

Today’s dinner was “Family Favourite Pork and Apple Burger with Rosemary Wedges and Rocket Salad”.  We’ve had this menu before, the pork burger has grated apple, breadcrumbs, grated garlic, salt & pepper in with the minced pork, then you put Cheddar cheese and let it melt (I had no cheese).  You also put a little apple & sage jelly on the bottom part of the buns, so it’s a little sweet overall but quite tasty.  We also added slices of tomato & onion.  To the potato wedges you are supposed to mix in some dried rosemary but my husband made chunks instead of wedges and used cumin seeds instead of rosemary because we liked it when we had it a while ago.  You also have a rocket salad but we added tomato, cucumber, avocado, onion to make it a large salad.  We enjoyed them very much.
