今日も街をぶらぶらし、軽いランチをして、またぶらぶらして、ビール休憩、と言った1日でした。昨日は坂道と階段を降りて街まで行きましたが、今日はホテルのシャトルバスを使いました。
We had an easy day, just mooching in town, had a light lunch, more mooching, a couple of rests with beer. Yesterday we walked all the way down to the town but today we used the hotel shuttle bus to go down and back up.
ランチは、シチリア名物のアランチーニ。アランチーニは近年すっかりイギリスでも人気で、飽きるほどレストランでもパブでもメニューにありますが、本場のものはすごく大きくて、1つ食べたら満腹になります。
For lunch we had an arancini and a sausage roll to share. Arancini is now so popular in England, you see it on so many menus everywhere but in Sicily they are huge and are eaten as a meal. Just one fills you up. I think the one with ragu is the traditional but we had the one with pistachio cream today, very rich.
今日はソーセージロールとアランチーニをシェア。アランチーニはラグー入りが基本だと思いますが、今日はピスタチオクリーム入りにしました、濃厚でした。
