さて、今日はバレンタインデー。バレンタインデーが今日なのはちゃんと覚えていたのですが、昨日の夕方まで夫にカードを作るのをすっかり忘れておりました。夕食を食べる前くらいに「はっ！」と思い出し、夕食後に慌てて作りました。我が家は夕食の後各自のお部屋で過ごして、１０時ごろからリビングで何かしらテレビ番組を見るのが習慣なのでその間の２時間くらいしか1人の時間がなく、ゆっくり考える時間もスタンプやダイを探す時間もなかったので出ていたスタンプとダイの中からサッと選んで簡単なデザインです。間に合って良かった！可愛く出来たと自画自賛。そして、今朝、夫からはお花とカードをもらいました！

It’s Valentine’s Day today.  I remembered that but somehow I’d totally forgotten to make a card for my husband until around dinner time yesterday!  Just before we had dinner, I thought, “Oh, no, I’d forgotten to make a card!!”.  We usually spend a couple of hours after dinner in our own rooms, then go to the living room to watch an episode of some sort of drama or occasionally a film on TV around 10:00pm – so I only had a couple of hours or less.  I had no time to search for designs or try and find certain products, so I just looked at what things I had out on the table and chose a couple of dies and stamp sets and made it with them. So the design is very simple but I think it’s quite cute, and I am glad I was able to make it in such a short time.   I normally spend hours finding a design I like then finding certain products from what I have – it shows how having only limited supplies makes it easier!

This morning, my husband gave me a bunch of flowers and a card, too!

 

 

封筒は立体になっているので中にハートを入れようか迷ったのですが、入れてしまうとあまり見えなかったので外に貼りました。わかりにくいですが、love you はゴールドのペーパーを使いました。

The small envelope on the card I made is actually like a real envelope so I thought about putting the heart (layers of hearts) inside, but you couldn’t see much of the heart that way so in the end I just adhered it on the envelope. The “love you” is in gold.
