今日も良いお天気でしたが、夜から明日にかけては雨が降る確率が高いようで、日曜日の夜までは雷雨が降る予報になっています。と言っても多分一日中降るわけではなく、場所によって時々という感じではないかと思っています。

It was sunny again but apparently it’s likely to rain during the night and tomorrow and for a few days until Sunday.   I don’t think it’ll be all day, though.  The forecast has some thunder marks so I’m guessing that there will be thunderous rain here and there now and again.

今日の夕食は、「Chicken and Halloumi Shawarma with Roastd Garlic Yogurt, Spiced Chips and Baby Gem Salad（チキンとハルミチーズのシャワルマ、ローストガーリック入りヨーグルトソース、スパイス入りチップス、ベビージェムサラダ）」でした。昨日もポテトがあったので、今日はチップスは作らないことに。サラダにはきゅうりも加えました。シャワルマチキンは好きなので期待していましたが、スパイスがあまり効いていなくて残念でした。本場のシャワルマチキンを食べたことがないので本来どういうものかは知らないのですが、これまで検索して作ったものやスーパーで買ったものとは全然違ってほぼオレガノの風味でした。でも、まずいわけではなく普通に美味しくはいただけました。フラットブレッドは1人2枚ずつありましたが、1枚ずつで十分でした。チキンも余ったので明日のランチにしようと思っています

Today’s dinner was ” Chicken and Halloumi Shawarma with Roastd Garlic Yogurt, Spiced Chips and Baby Gem Salad,  As we had potatoes yesterday and we didn’t feel the need for it with today’s menu we decided not to cook chips, though.  We also added some cucumber to the salad.  I love Shawarma chicken so I was hoping I would love this but I must say I didn’t. The spices were quite different from what I expected, it tasted mostly of oregano and not like what I know of Shawarma – not that I’ve ever had the real thing – but it was very different from what I had made from the recipes I found online or what we bought.  Still, it wasn’t that it was bad, it was fine and we enjoyed it enough.  There were 2 flatbreads each in the ingredients but one each was enough for us and there is some chicken left so we’ll have it tomorrow for lunch.
