ロンドンのことがまだ終わっていませんが、昨日は３８回目の結婚記念日でした！ロンドンへは新しいパスポートをピックアップしに行ったのですが、タイミングは結婚記念日ということでこの時期に決めたのですが、肝心の結婚記念日は戻ってきた翌日で今回は外食もしないことにしたので（行きたいレストランは１つしかなく、来月初めの行く予定なので）当日の昨日は2人とおあまり実感が湧かず、なんだか普通の日で、いつもは朝イチでするカードの交換もお互い忘れていて、お昼ご飯を作っている時に思い出したという（笑）。

I haven’t finished with London but before that – it was our 38th Wedding Anniversary yesterday.  The visit to London this time was mainly to pick up my new passport, as I wrote before, but we chose this timing so it’s close to our wedding anniversary, but we weren’t able to include our actual anniversary day.  We decided not to go out for dinner yesterday (there is only one restaurant we would like to go to on such an occasion but we are going there early next month), so somehow it didn’t feel like a special day yesterday.  We even forgot to exchange our cards until lunch time!

で、わたしはロンドンに行ってから「あ、カード作るの、忘れてた！」となり、時すでに遅しだったのですが、幸い、大昔に作ったカードに結婚記念日に使えるカードがあったので、スパンコールを足して渡しました。

As for me, after we got to London I thought, “Oh dear, I won’t have time to make the card… we won’t be back until late in the afternoon on the day before…”.  It was too late to make one really but fortunately I found one card I made ages ago that looked good for a wedding anniversary so I just added some sequins.

 

ロンドンの滞在ホテルのすぐ近くにインスタで見ていた「Wild Things」というお花屋さんがあったので、昨日、戻ってくる前に花束を作っていただきました。これとこれとこれを使って後は適当に、とオーダーしましたが、素敵な花束を作っていただけました。この辺りにこのような花束をオーダーできるお花屋さんはないので、好みの花束らしい花束を飾ったのはイギリスに来て初めてです。かなりなお値段ですが、仕方ないところ。

There is a nice flower shop near the hotel we were staying at called “Wild Things” so we went there just before we left London and asked the lady to make a bouquet.  I just picked a few flowers and asked her to add a few others to make it nice and she made a very lovely bouquet.  There is no flower shop around here that would make such bouquets so this is the first one I really like that we had since we moved to England.  It is rather expensive but that cannot be helped.
