玄関のドア（外側）にはリースを（今年は内側にはスワッグも）飾っているのに加えて、リビングルームとダイニングルームにはあれこれクリスマスらしいものを飾ってクリスマス気分を盛り上げるようにしています。

As well as a wreath on the door (outside), I decorate the area near the door, living room, and dining room area with bits and pieces to make our place look Christmassy.

ダイニングルームとリビングルームの間にクリスマスツリーを置いていて、そのすぐそばのソファーの背の部分に香港で買った丸い棚（２つに分かれます）を置いています。普段はお茶関係のものを飾っていますがこの時期はクリスマスっぽいものに変えています。

The round shelves we bought in Hong Kong that stand behind sofa usually hold mostly tea-related items but I change them to Christmas decorations this time of year.

 

 

玄関に入ったところには、２箇所に分けてサンタクロースとキャンドルなどを飾っています。サンタクロースは結構大きくて、どちらも５０センチくらいあります。衣紋掛に掛けているキルトは、２５年以上前に日本で作ったもの。今なら赤と緑という伝統的な色のものは作りませんが。。。お友達と一緒に習っていたことなど、懐かしく思い出します。

Near the main door, we have an antique looking wooden box.  I hang a quilt (that I made more than 20 years ago by hand when we were in Japan, I wouldn’t choose red and green now…) on a kimono stand and put this Santa Claus on the box with some candles.

I also put another Santa Claus with some candles near the main door on the other side.

もう１枚クリスマスのキルトを作っていますが、こちらはプリントした布を塗ってキルトしただけの簡単なものです。クリスマスストッキングと一緒にチャイナ風の椅子に飾っています。

I draped another Christmas Quilt I made years ago (this one was an easy one, all I did was quilting, no piecing) with some Christmas stockings on a large Chinese chair.

ダイニングテーブルの近くには、Crate & Barrel で買った木の家やツリーの置物と、ドイツにお住いのお友達からいただいた素敵なドイツのクリスマスピラミッドなど飾っています。

Next to our dining table on top of the sideboard, I put the wooden decorations – panels of houses and trees,  and a Christmas Pyramid a friend sent to me from Germany.

他にも、ちょこちょこっと。

And some other things here and there.

 

 

 

シンガポールでももっと欲しくなるデコレーションが見つかれば嬉しいのですが、なかなか。。。
