Polish Sausage & Sauerkraut


Today’s dinner was Polish Sausage & Sauerkraut – they are mixed with onion and apple sauce, put in a baking dish, covered and cooked in a low oven for an hour.  It’s such an easy recipe.  The only thing is that the sauerkraut was a little too sour for me, I should have added more apple sauce – but I used different brand every time so it’s not easy to get it right.  This is a recipe I learned a a cooking class and the teacher recommended us to serve them with mashed potato but I made German potatoes today instead.
