シンガポールは、イースターで３連休です。わたしはもちろんですが夫もイースターは特にこれという意味を持たないので（イースターエッグを食べるだけ）、わたしたちにとっては普通の連休。土日は夫がご飯を作ってくれますが、連休になるとお休みモードでお料理する気にならないことが多いようなので、夫が好きなチーズフォンデューにしました。

Happy Easter to everyone!  It’s a long weekend here.  To us, Easter doesn’t mean anything but it’s nice to get an extra day with my husband.  Although my husband cooks dinner usually on weekends, he doesn’t seem to be so keen on cooking on a long weekend and he just got back from his trip to Taiwan too, so we decided to do Fondue. 

ちなみに今日のじゃがいもは甘くてとても美味しかったです。シンガポールでは普通の大きさのじゃがいもは美味しいものがないのですが、フランスなどから入ってくる小さなじゃがいもは時々とても甘くて美味しい。

Small potatoes we had today were very sweet and tasty.  I find usual potatoes here aren’t very nice, but some small ones from France are very sweet.
