フォートウィリアムで２泊したあとは、エジンバラの近くで１週間家を借りました。まっすぐ走れば３時間ほどで着くのですが途中観光をしたかったので少し遠回りをしました。なのですが、夫が午前中仕事をしなければならず出発時間が遅れてしまい（１１時ごろに出発しました）、結局途中で観光をする時間がなくなってしまいました（涙）。だったら、まっすぐ走れば良かったのですが、なぜか５時間かかってました。でもGlencoeはいずれにしても通り道でしたので、再び綺麗な景色を楽しむことが出来ました。この日も雨が降ったりやんだりで曇ったお天気でしたが、ぴーかんのお天気は陽が差して車の中が暑くなりますし日に焼けるのも困るので、（雨が降らないともっと良いですが）曇っているくらいがちょうど良いです。

After staying at Fort William we rented a house near Edinburgh for a week.  It’s supposed to be about 3 hours’ drive from our hotel to this house but we were going to stop at a few places on our way.  However, my husband had to work in the morning and we weren’t able to leave the hotel until about 11.00am and we needed to get to the house between 3.00pm and 4.00pm so we ran out of time to stop.  We should have changed our plan and taken the shortest route to the house, but by some reason it took us 5 hours – probably because we used the navi of the car and didn’t realise it was such a long way.  Anyway, we were able to drive through the beautiful Glencoe near Fort William again as it was on our way anyway.  It was again raining on and off and the rest of the time was cloudy.  I prefer cloudy weather, specially when we drive as I don’t like getting hot and getting sun tan on the window side of my body and face.  (Better if it’s just cloudy without the rain, though.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ランチは高速の途中にあった、「Real Food Cafe」というセルフサービスのカフェ（食堂？）のようなところで食べたました。わたしは、ベジタリアンバーガー、夫はソーセージサンド。ベジタリアンバーガーの中身は、コロッケっぽい感じでした。パンが美味しくなかったですね。M＆Sが見つからず、残念。

We had a quick lunch at “Real Food Cafe” on the express way.  I had a vegetarian burger and my husband had a sausage burger.  My vegetarian burger was somewhat similar to a croquette, mostly potato.  The bread wasn’t very nice and I cannot say I enjoyed it.  I’d rather have M & S sandwiches but we couldn’t find one.
