I guess most Japanese will miss Japanese food when they are away on holidays and would probably eat something like udon noodles, sushi or grilled fish as soon as they get back.  However, when we are away, (unless we are in Thailand), what I miss is spicy Thai food.  Mince meat is supposed to be high calories and to be avoided, but I couldn’t hold out any longer, so I made Thai Stir-Fried Mince Pork with Basil served with fried egg and rice.  My husband and I both said “Ohhhhh!” after a bite or two because it was very spicy but not too spicy to be able to enjoy.  So good!
