Soft Tacos

今日の夕食は、ソフトタコスでした。と言ってもいつもの「なんちゃって」。冷凍していたチリ・コンカーニを使います。他にはレタス、玉ねぎ、トマト、ワカモーレ、タコソース、チーズ、シャンツァイ。お肉を食べる量が減って生野菜やアボカドも食べるので、少しはヘルシー。トルティーヤは最近中華蒸し器で数分蒸しています。熱々に保てて硬くならずふんわりするので、気に入っています。

Today’s dinner was Soft Tacos, but not the real thing because I use left-over Chilli Con Carne.  I prepared lettuce, onion, tomato, guacamole, taco sauce, cheese and coriander leaves as well as Chilli Con Carne.  If we’d just had straight chilli, as we often do, we would have eaten double or more of Chilli Con Carne as well as garlic bread and rice, so this way is much better.  I steam tortillas in a Chinese bamboo steaming thing for a few minutes because it keeps them hot and soft.

巻いて食べるものって大好きです。夫も喜んでくれますし、ほとんど火を使わないのも有難い。

I do love food you wrap and my husband loves this, too.  It’s nice and easy and I don’t get hot because the kitchen doesn’t get hot with oven or high-heat cooking.
