Tonight’s dinner my husband cooked was Delia Smith’s Spanish Pork from her big cookery book.  He’s cooked this so many times since we got married.  It’s basically a casserole with pepper, tin tomato and olives.

I used Noritake’s classic looking plates of green and gold.  I tend to like modern look more than classic or traditional  but my husband likes classic style more.  These plates are what we bought soon after we got married almost 30 years ago.  I do like them but they are smaller than those we bought recently and it doesn’t look very stylish when you put a lot of food on a small plate.  Tonight’s dinner was just the casserole and rice so these were big enough.  The colours are quite nice and Christmassy.
