昨日から３月ですね、今年もあっという間に２ヶ月過ぎてしまいました。ついこの間、クリスマスだったような気がします。

We are already into March, it feels as if we had Christmas just a few weeks ago!

さて、やっとインド旅行記７日目まで辿り着きました。この日を終えてやっと半分です。

So, we are finally at our India trip Day 7 – still only half way when I finish Day 7.

ジョドプールには夕方に到着したので、あまりゆっくり観光出来なかったような気がしています。到着の翌日は、朝一番にジョドプール一番の観光スポット、メヘラーンガル砦に行きました。写真が多過ぎて、編集とアップロードにとても時間がかかりました、２日がかり。きっと携帯で見ると重いのではと思います。

As we arrived in Jodhpur in the evening on the day before, we basically had only 1 day for sightseeing and I feel we didn’t see much of the town.  We first visited the major sightseeing spot, Mehrangarh Fort.  I took so many photos, it took me 2 days to edit and upload all that I want to upload.  It’s probably very heavy if you are reading on a phone.

途中で寄った、ジャスワント・タダー。ジャスワント・シング2世の霊廟。

We visited Jaswant Thada (Cenotaph) on the way.

遠くに見えるのが、旧市街地の城壁。長い長い城壁です。

You can see the long long city wall far away.

そして、メヘラーンガル砦。歩いてもいけるのですが、ガイドさんがエレベーターに案内してくださいました。小さなエレベーターだったので結構並んで待ちましたが歩くとかなりありそうでしたので、やはり上まで上がって歩いて降りるのが良さそうです。

You can walk up but our guide took us to the lift in the Fort.  We queued for quite a while (maybe 15 minutes?) because the lift was very small but it would have been tough to go up all the way, it’s much easier to go up in the lift then walk down at the end.

ジョドプールはブルーシティーと呼ばれています、割合はそれほど多くない気がしますがブルーの建物をたくさん見られます。

Jodhpur is called the Blue City.  Not a large percentage, but many of the houses are painted with blue paint.

金箔で飾られたお部屋、眩しかったです。

ミニマリストとは真逆のインド、どこを見ても装飾が素晴らしい。ミニマリストではないもののどちらかというとシンプルなものに惹かれるわたしにとっては手に入れたいものではありませんが、見るにはとても面白い。

India is completely opposite from Minimalist, wherever you look everything is decorated to the max.  Although I’m not a minimalist, I do tend to be attracted to simple designs and these types of work aren’t what I would like to have at our home, but they are fascinating to see.
