昨日、いつも参考にしている Jennifer McGuire さんのブログを見ながら２枚カードを作りました。３つ折りにするカードで、表にはハミングバードが飛び出ていて、１枚開けたところにハミングバードが３Dテープで貼り付けてあり、もう１枚開けると真っ白のメッセージを書く部分になっています。

I made 2 cards yesterday, referring to this post of Jennifer McGuire – my card making guru.  They are trifold and the humming birds are peeking out of the cut-out on the front.  When you open the top sheet, the humming birds are adhered with 3D tape and there is another sentiment, then when you open that, you’ll have a blank sheet for writing any messages.

ちなみにこのハミングバードのスタンプも型もしばらく売り切れが続き、型は少しして手に入ったのですがスタンプが手に入ったのはつい最近。Jennifer さんがこのビデオをアップされたのは今年の初めなので、５ヶ月近く待ったことになります。カードの材料はほとんどアメリカの Simon Says Stamp というオンラインのサイトから購入するのですが、海外から取り寄せるには少量のオーダーでは送料がとても高くついてしまうのである程度カートに貯まってからオーダーすることになります。品切れの時は入ったら通知してもらうように設定できますが、入ったと思ったらすぐにまた品切れを繰り返し（常に欲しいものの何かは品切れで、あちらを待っているとまたこれが品切れになり、の繰り返し）、手に入ったのが５ヶ月後。こういうケースが多くて、材料が手に入る頃にはそのカードを作りたい気持ちもすっかり下がっている、ということになるのが残念です。

The humming bird stamp set and the die were out of stock for a long time.  I got hold of the die relatively quickly but the stamp set didn’t arrive until quite recently.  Jennifer uploaded her video in January this year, so it took me 5 months or so to get the stamp set. I buy most of materials for card making from an online site “Simon Says Stamp”.  As they are US based company, it costs me too much in shipping if I order only a small quantity so I need to wait until my online cart has a certain amount in it.  I use their system to request them to let me know when something comes in but what happens is that it goes out of stock again when I’m waiting for the cart to get a little more full or for another item to come in (because there are “always” some items that I want that are out of stock) and this repeats many times before I decide to give up on this or that and make an order.  So by the time I get hold of what I want, my enthusiasm to use a particular stamp set or die is often gone.
