Terra – Summer Menu

5月中旬に伺った時はまだ春のメニューだったので、もう夏のメニューがいただけるはず、ということで、「Terra」に行ってきました。

When we last went to “Terra” they were still serving their spring menu, so we went back today to have their summer menu.

最初に出てくるアミューズは小さなデミタスカップにほんの1センチほど入っているだけなので写真に撮れないのですが、日本のトマトと枝豆と Stracciatella というチーズのアミューズがとても美味しかったです。

We loved their amuse but it was too hard to take a photo because the portion is just about 1 cm from the bottom in a tiny little cup, but it was Japanese tomato, edamame and Stracciatella (cheese).

前菜の1品目、夫は北海道のボタンエビのカルパッチョ。とても美味しかったようでした。

My husband’s 1st dish was Button Ebi (prawn from Japan), which he enjoyed very much.

わたしは、日本のお野菜で作った冷たいカポナータ。ナスが特に美味しかったです。

Mine was Caponata with Japanese vegetables served very cold.  Aubergine was particularly delicious – not greasy like they often are, but melting texture and very sweet.

前菜2品目、夫は毛蟹。

The 2nd starter for my husband was Japanese Kagani – Hairy Crab but totally different from Chinese hairy crab.

わたしは、アーティチョークと Stracciatellaとラルド。

Mine was Artichoke, Stracciatella and Lardo.

3品目はパスタで、夫はフレッシュなしらすのパスタ。美味しかったそうです。

The 3rd dish was pasta.  My husband’s was Japanese shirasu (whitebait) pasta.  He enjoyed it very much.

わたしは、今年初のポルチーニとどこだか(笑)のサマートリュフ。

Mine was the first porcini this season and summer truffle from somewhere (I was told where it was from but I cannot remember…)

4品目はリゾット。豚肉、マッシュルーム、トウモロコシ、トマトのリゾット。

The 4th dish was risotto.  Pork, mushroom, sweetcorn, tomato risotto.

メインは、日本の和牛と日本のロケット。

The main was Japanese Wagyu Beef & Japanese roacket leaves.

デザートは、プロセッコのフォーム、日本のメロン、メロンのシャーベット、シャーベットの下はパンナコッタ。デザートもいつもより凝っていて美味しかったです。

The dessert was Prosecco foam, Japanese melon, melon sorbet and panna cotta.  I’ve always felt they don’t put a lot of emphasis on their desserts here, but now and again they seem to do so, and this was one of those times.

最後に、小さなドーナッツのようなもの。コーヒー味のクリームが詰めてありました。

We then had a little donut filled with coffee flavoured cream each.

わたしはカポナータとビーフとデザートが特に美味しかったです。実は、そろそろ桃のパスタが食べられるのではないかと期待して行ったのですが、まだ少し早いのだそうです。8月か9月に出すとおっしゃっていました。また、行かなくては!

I particularly enjoyed Caponata, beef and the dessert.  I was hoping we’ll get peach pasta but apparently it’s a little too early, they’ll serve it in August or September.  We must go back!
