Rigatoni Caprese (with Pine Nuts, Mozzarella and Balsamic Tomato Salsa)

It was nice and warm during the day again.  We hadn’t come to England in April often, maybe even never, so I don’t know if it’s true but I somehow thought it would be colder here at this time of year.  I forgot to write it but when we went to Petworth yesterday I saw some bluebells here and there.  I always thought bluebells flowered in May, so it seems very early.

My husband and I were so looking forward to seeing a carpet of bluebells in May this year, but it doesn’t look like we will.  There are more important things right now, I know, but we feel disappointed that we cannot enjoy our first year in England when the weather is getting better. Enjoying new seasons is something we were so looking forward to.  At our age, we cannot easily feel “Oh well, we’ll do that next year” .   Still, right now, protecting our lives is more important.

今日の夕食は、Hello Fresh Rigatoni Caprese (with Pine Nuts, Mozzarella and Balsamic Tomato Salsa)(リガトーニ・カプレーゼ、松の実、モッツァレラ、バルサミコ酢のトマトサルサと)。

Today’s dinner was Hello Fresh Rigatoni Caprese (with Pine Nuts, Mozzarella and Balsamic Tomato Salsa).

Basically, it’s Rigatoni in tomato sauce with green chilli and mozzarella, topped with a salad of tomato, balsamic vinegar, and honey, plus more mozzarella.  It was just OK.  Personally, I don’t think a cold salad on top of warm pasta works very well, I’d rather mix them together at the last minute, or have the salad on the side.  Still, it was OK, enjoyable enough.
