今日のお昼ごろ、お庭で Pied Wagtail を見かけました。（日本語でせきれい、と言うそうです）。以前も見かけたような気がした時がありましたが、その時は一瞬だったので自信がなかったのです。今回は数分お庭にいたのでよく観察出来ましたが、白と黒で尾を上下にぴょこぴょこ動かしているので結構わかりやすいです。ビデオも撮りましたがやはり遠いのであまりよく映らないですね、肉眼では結構よく見えていました。

Around lunch time,we saw a Pied Wagtail in our garden.  I thought I saw one some time ago once but it flew away as soon as I saw it so I wasn’t sure.  This time it stayed on the ground of our garden for a good few minutes so we were able to see it properly.  It’s black and white and was “wagging” its tail all the time.  I did take a video but as we cannot get close it’s not very good quality like always, so here is a photo I borrowed from Bird Spot.

イギリスではどこでも（街中でも）見かける鳥だそうなのですが、我が家のお庭で見かけたのは以前見かけた気がしたのを入れても２度目です。新しい鳥を見ると嬉しいものです。

Apprently it’s a bird that you see everywhere even in a city centre, but this was only my 2nd time including the time I wasn’t completely sure.  It’s nice to see a new bird visiting our garden.
