Peri Peri Chicken Burger (with Peri Peri Spiced Wedges, Tomato Salad and Sriracha Mayonnaise)

日が暮れて来て25度くらいまで下がって、過ごしやすくなりました。

今日の夕食は、Hello Fresh の「Peri Peri Chicken Burger (with Peri Peri Spiced Wedges, Tomato Salad and Sriracha Mayonnaise) 」(ペリペリチキンバーガー、ペリペリスパイス風味のオーブンポテト、トマトサラダ、シラチャマヨ)。ペリペリチキンは南アフリカのスパイシーなチキンのこと。ポテトはペリペリスパイスとオリーブオイルを絡めてオーブンで焼きます。チキンはニンニクとペリペリスパイスとアップルビネガーとオイルを少し加えて塩胡椒して少しマリネしてフライパンで焼きます。トマトはアップルビネガー、オリーブオイル、お砂糖ひとつまみ、塩胡椒をかけるだけ(ロケットを加えたかったのですがなかったので、エシャロットのスライスを加えました)。ソースはマヨネーズにシラチャソースを混ぜるだけ。パンにシラチャソースを塗ってチキンをのせて、トマトサラダとオーブンポテトを添えて出来上がりです。

ソースの量が多すぎるのでレシピ通り使うとソースの味しかしないと思いますが、そこさえ気をつければ普通に美味しいと思います。ただ、個人的にはコールスローのようなものをチキンと一緒に挟んだ方がシャキシャキする食感が加わって美味しいと思います、せめてレタスがあれば良かったのですが今週はレタスを切らしてしまいました。

Today’s dinner was “Peri Peri Chicken Burger (with Peri Peri Spiced Wedges, Tomato Salad and Sriracha Mayonnaise)”.  Peri Peri chicken is spicy chicken from South Africa.  The potatoes were baked in the oven with peri peri spice mix.  Chicken was first marinaded with garlic, peri peri spice mixture, apple vinegar, oil, salt & pepper for a short time, then cooked in a frying pan.  Tomatoes were cut in half and dressed with apple vinegar, olive oil, a pinch of sugar, salt & pepper.  I would have liked to add some rocket but we ran out so just added some slices of shallot.  The sauce was a mixture of mayonnaise and Sriracha sauce.   Some sauce on the bottom bun, chicken, then the top bun, with tomato salad and potato wedges on the side.

If you used as much sauce as the recipe says all you taste would be the sauce but as long as you are careful with the amount of the sauce we thought it was quite good.  We would have liked something like coleslaw in the burger, we felt something a little refreshing would be a great addition.  I would have used some lettuce if we had but we ran out of lettuce also this week.
