Mexican Style Beef (with Crispy Potato Top and Guacamole)


Although it was sunny today, the temperature didn’t go higher than 20C and it was down to 9C early this morning!  It looks like it’ll be like this in the next 10 days or so.  I guess 20C isn’t that cold in England, but it feels cold to me.

さて、今日の夕食は、Hello Fresh の「Mexican Style Beef (with Crispy Potato Top and Guacamole)」(メキシコ風ビーフ、カリカリのポテトをのせて、ワカモーレを添えて)でした。ビーフのミンチを炒めて玉ねぎと赤パプリカを加えて更に炒め、人参の粗く削ったものを加え、メキシカンスパイス、パックのトマト、水、ビーフソトックパウダーを加えて水気がなくなるまで15分ほど煮込み、グラタン皿に入れてオーブンで焼いたポテトをのせ、チーズをのせて更にオーブンで焼き色がつくまで焼いたら出来上がり。アボカド、ライム汁、塩胡椒を混ぜたワカモーレを添えます。

Today’s dinner was “Mexican Style Beef (with Crispy Potato Top and Guacamole)” from Hello Fresh.  Stir fry minced beef, add onion and red pepper and stir-fry more, then add grated carrot, Mexican spice, a pack of tomato, plus water and beef stock powder and let it cook until most of the moisture has evaporated for about 15 minutes.  Pour it into an oven proof dish, top it with potatoes that have been roasted in the oven, sprinkle cheese on top and and bake it in the oven until it’s nice and golden.  Make guacamole by mixing avocado, salt, pepper & lime juice.



If I’d known we’d be eating Chilli Con Carne so many times we wouldn’t have ordered this but we didn’t.  My husband loved it and enjoyed it but I could have gone without eating another Chilli (this isn’t called so but the flavour was basically the same) for a little while.  It did taste good.

Sadly, the portion was very large and we have left-over, which we need to eat tomorrow!
