半年ぶりにお友達ご夫婦と「West Dean」で待ち合わせてキャッチアップをしました。最後にお二人とご一緒したのは１０月始め、「Arundel Castle Gardens」ででしたので、半年以上になります。（その前は、９月にWest Deanでご一緒しました。）このご夫婦とだけではなく、他のお友達とも夫の家族ともこの半年ロックダウンで会えない状態だったので、本当にやっとという感じ。とても広いので、ほとんど他の人と会いませんでした。

We met our friends at West Dean to walk together and catch up with each other.  The last time when we saw them was early October at Arundel Castle Gardens (and before that it was in September at West Dean), so it’s been more than 6 months.  It’s not just these friends, we hadn’t seen any of our friends or even my husband’s family for 6 months or longer.  It felt so good to be able to go out and talk to friends.

 

 

 

 

少し前から子羊が生まれる季節で、ぴょこぴょこ歩く姿を見たいと思っていたのですが機会がなく、やっと間近に見ることが出来ました。可愛い〜！

It’s been lambing season and we’ve been wanting to see some lambs  gambolling about but we hadn’t had a chance until today; it was lovely to see them up close – so cute!

あれこれお話しながらゆっくり１時間ほど歩き、カフェの外席で飲み物を飲みながらもう少しキャッチアップして、お別れしました。とても良いお天気で気温は１５度くらい、コートは着ずに長袖のシャツの上に薄手のトップを重ねた状態で歩く前は風が吹くと少し肌寒かったのですが、歩くにはちょうど良い気温でした。日差しが強かったので、日傘を持って行っていて良かったです。

We walked slowly for about an hour while we were catching up, then had a drink at an outside table of the cafe before parting.  It was a wonderful weather with the temperature around 15C.  I wasn’t wearing a coat, just a light long sleeve shirt with another thin top over that and it felt a ltitle cold before walking but once we started moving it was fine, it was just the right sort of weather for walking.  It was very bright so I did use my parasol top keep myself out of the sun.
