Cauliflower Veloute



Today’s supper was Cauliflower Veloute because we wanted to use the cauliflower that has been sitting in the fridge.  We sauteed onion and garlic in some butter and oil, added some curry powder and sauteed a few more minutes, then added sliced caulofower, added hot water, some organic vegetable powder and cooked until soft, then put it all in the Thermomix to make it creamy and added some cream at the end.

We don’t dislike cauliflower but for some reason we don’t seem to use it at home so I thought I should buy one, but it had been sitting in the fridge for a while.  I have to say that I’m now quite sure I don’t really like Cauliflower soup, I don’t hate it but it’s not very exciting becaue it doesn’t have much flavour.  I have had it in restaurants a few times and I never really enjoyed it.  We probably should have added more curry powder.
