この辺りのお天気予報は日に日に悪くなっていて、ほぼずっと雨マークとお日様マークが一緒になった、雨が降ったりお日様が出たりコロコロ変わるお天気です。昨日の夜チェックした時点ではお昼頃まではまぁまぁ良いお天気でその後晴れたり雨が降ったりマークだったので、今日は少し早めに朝10時ごろにロッジを出たのですが、その頃もう雨がぱらつき始めていました（涙）。ただ、風が強く雨雲も早く動くので雨はすぐに止んで太陽が顔を出し、その後は概ねまぁまぁのお天気でした。
The weather forecast around here has been getting worse every day and it looks like it’s going to be “Light rain showers” today and tomorrow. When I checked it last night I saw a cloud with a sun mark until midday before turning to “Light rain showers”, so we decided to leave earlier than usual and left around 10:00am. However, it was already raining a little – although it stopped soon and there was some sun for the rest of the afternoon most of the time.
今日は軽くランチをして、近くのウィスキー蒸溜所に寄ってウイスキーを買い、そこから大変景色が良いと書かれている場所までドライブ、という予定。
Our plan today was to have a light lunch at a cafe, then go to a whisky distillery to buy a bottle of whisky, then drive through an area off the Highlands where the scenery is supposed to be magnificent.
まず、目指したのはブランチをするカフェ、「Platform 1864」という以前電車の駅だった建物を改装したカフェで、Tainという街にあります。いつもならランチですが、今日は早めに出たのでブランチになりました。カフェまでロッジから1時間くらい、11時ごろに着きました。
So, first we headed to a cafe “Platform 1864” in Tain, which was renovated from a former train station. We usually have lunch out but we left early today so ended up with having a brunch. It was about an hour from the lodge so arrived around 11:00am.
内装は今っぽくキュートな内装でした。
The interior was very current and cute.
夫は、エッグベネディクト・バップ（サンドイッチ）、ハムも乗っていました。
My husband had Eggs Benedict Bap, which had ham as well.
わたしは、フル・スコッティッシュ・ブレックファーストのハギスとブラックプディング抜き。
I had Full Scottish Breakfast, but without the haggis and black pudding.
