Japanese Hamburg Steak With Demi-Glace Sauce


I asked my husband what we should have for dinner today last night and he immediately replied “Hamburg!”, so that’s what we had (Japanese Hamburg Steak).  I’ve been using the recipe for Loco Moco I learned on a Zoom Cooking Lesson for the hamburgers (though I reduce the seasonings).  The sauce is Demi-Glace sauce that I had sent from Japan added to the liquid after the hamburgers were cooked (it has water & brandy) with a little ketchup and reduced.  We had it with rice.  It was very tasty.
