バックガーデンのアップデート。

Back garden update.

最初のコスモスが咲きました！２つ、咲いています。１つは濃いピンクのコスモス、綺麗な色です。もう１つは１つ目より薄いピンクの八重でぎざぎざした花びらのもの。これは昨日撮った写真で、今日はもっと咲いていました。

The first 2 Cosmos flowers opened!  One is a very strong shocking pink and the other is a little lighter pink with frilly petals.

 

 

 

夫が好きなルーピン（ルピナス）が咲きました！たった１つだけ残ったルーピン。これは、昨日撮った写真。

The lupin also flowered!  The only lupin we have now.  This is the photo I took yesterday.

 

こちらは今日撮った写真。１日で随分開きますし大きくなります。

And this is a photo I took today – much more open and larger in just one day.

 

奥のパティオのポットのペチュニア、もこもことたくさん咲いて来ました。

The petunias in the 2 large pots on the back patio have so many flowers now.

 

 

 

手前のパティオのポットは日当たりが奥のパティオほどよくないので、まだこんな感じ。

The pots on the patio closer to the house doesn’t get as much sun as the back patio so they don’t have as many flowers yet.

 

アルキミア・モリスは沢山お花をつけました、今が満開かな。奥に見えるパープルのお花はジェラニウム、色々なところに植えられていますが、今年は随分背が高くなりました。

Alchemilla mollis have a lot of flowers, perhaps the peak.  The geraniums have gone much taller than last year.

 

 

 

 

ピオニーも満開。

Peonies are in full bloom, too.

 

 

 

 

 

スモークツリーは満開を過ぎて少し小さくなってきました。スモークツリーのスモーク、イメージと全然違って残念。色々なタイプのスモークツリーがあるみたいです、指定すれば良かった。このタイプは色々なところで見かけるので、イギリスで一番一般的なものなのかな、と思います。これはこれで、綺麗ですが。

The smokes (flowers) of the smoke trees (bushes) have gone past the peak and started to look smaller.  The smokes aren’t what I thought they would be, what I wanted were more fluffy smokey looking ones.  I didn’t know there were many different types, I should have done more research and specified which ones I wanted.  I see these in many places in England so I guess these are the most common ones.  They look nice, just not what I really wanted.

 

サルビア・アミスタッドの最初のお花が咲きました。６株植えてあったのですが、やはり冬の霜のせいか、３株しか残りませんでした。最初は葉っぱが大きくて多いのでお花があまり目立たないのですが後半には濃いパープルのお花がたくさん咲いてとても綺麗なので、３株オーダーしました。

The first Salvia Amistad has started to flower.  Out of 6 of them we have only 3 now, I think, 3 were killed by the frost.  They have a lot of large leaves so the flowers aren’t standing out yet but they will look beautiful later in the season.  I love these so I just placed an order for 3 more of them.

 

 

ベル・エトワールも満開、甘い香りがあたりに漂っています。

Belle Etoile is also in full bloom, the strong sweet aroma catches you when you go out in the garden.

数カ所に咲いているサルビア・ネモロサも満開。色が違って見えるのは太陽が当たっているところがピンクに見えているから、全部同じパープルです。

Salvia Nemorosa is also in full bloom.  They are flowering in a few places.  They look as if there are 2 different colours but they are all darkish purple, some look more like pink because the sun is on them.
