今日のランチは、今年初めての中華冷麺。定番のきゅうり、トマト、薄焼き卵とハムの代わりにビーフパストラミ（あまり美味しくなかった）、彩りにロケット。昨日、妹が送ってくれた小包が到着して、その中に冷麺をいれてくれていたので早速今日使いました。

Today’s lunch was Rei-men (Japanese style Chinese Cold Noodles) for the first time this year.  As well as the usual cucumber, tomatoes, and thinly cooked egg, we used beef pastrami (it wasn’t so good) and some rocket leaves.  The noodle packs came in the parcel from Japan that my sister sent to us earlier this week.

でも、夜中に雷雨があり、今日も先ほどから雨が降ったりしていて涼しくて、ただいまの気温１９度。それでも、家の中は昨日までの熱気が篭っていて２５度くらいあります。１週間ほどはそれほど暑くならないようなので、ちょっと一息つける感じ、夫の夕方の水撒きの回数も減るかなと思います。

However, it’s not so hot today here, we had thunder in the middle of the night and it’s been raining today so it’s on the cool side, around 19C outside.  It is warmer inside the house, around 25C, because houses in England seem to keep the air.  It looks like it won’t get so hot for the next week, so less job of watering the gardens for my husband.
