夫に作ったバースデーカード。最近、カードの世界ではステンシルがとても人気で様々なステンシルが出ていて特にレイヤータイプが人気で、わたしも結構持っているのですが、レイヤータイプのステンシルは今回初めて使いました。４枚のステンシルが１セットになっていて、１枚目を使ったらその上に２枚目と重ねて色をつけていくのですが、そんな単純作業が結構難しくて１枚目は少しずれてしまって失敗しました。下の方を濃く、上に行くほど薄めに色をつけて、写真ではわかりにくいのですが風船にはきらきらと光るグルーをのせています。参考にしたのは、こちらのYouTube動画。
This is the birthday card I made for my husband. In the card making world, stencils are extremely popular now, specially layering stencils, and I do have some, but this was the first time I used a set of layering stencils. 4 layers is one set in this case and you stencil on the first layer, then put another stencil for anther colour (although you don’t have to use a different colour) etc. You think it’s going to be easy, but it’s not that easy to get the positions of the layers right, and my first trial went in the bin. I coloured darker on the bottom of each letter and put some stickles on the balloons. This youtube video is the inspiration.
