今日はやっと少し気温が上がって、２３度くらいまでありました。来週はヒートウェーブがやって来る噂なのですが、わたしがチェックしている BBC のお天気予報ではヒートウェーブと言えるほどの気温は今の所見当たりません。でも、良いお天気になる日は多くなりそうです。わたし的には、ヒートウェーブが来なくてお天気が良い方が有難い。お天気が良ければ２３度くらいにはなります。明日もお天気良さそうで、嬉しい。

It was good weather today and the temperature went up to 23C.  I hear that a heatwave was coming next week, but according to the BBC weather forecast that I use, I cannot see any ‘heatwave’ temperature.  However, there are a lot of sun marks.  I personally prefer sunny but not too hot weather so I will be happy if they are right.  It looks like it’ll be nice and sunny tomorrow, which will be lovely.

ここしばらくお天気が悪かったり旅行に行ったりお客様があったりで、お庭仕事が出来ていなかったので、お天気が良かった今日、１時間ほど草取りとカットバックをしました。しばらくしていなかったのにあまり長時間頑張ると明日体に堪えそうなので、１時間でやめておきました。しばらく草取りをしていなかった割には、草は少なめだったと思います、お天気が悪いからでしょう。

We went away for a few days, then had guests staying with us and the weather was often bad, so I hadn’t done much gardening recently, so I did do some weeding and cutting back some plants.  Considering I hadn’t done any weeding for probably about 10 days there weren’t too many weeds, I guess due to the bad weather.

今日の夕食は、久しぶりのナポリタン。１年に１度か２度作るかな？昔からの作り方とは少し変えて、フレッシュのトマトを足したりトマトペーストを足したり、パスタの茹で汁で伸ばしたりしましたが、とても美味しかったです。わたしは、やっぱり、タバスコたっぷりが好き。

Today’s dinner was Spaghetti Napolitan, we have it once or twice a year, I guess.  I made a little change to the traditional Japanese way and added a fresh tomato, some tomato paste and some pasta cooking water – and it was really tasty.  I love it with a lot of tabasco.   (I’ve written what Spaghetti Napolitan is like before.)
