今日は２週間に１度集まっている刺繍の集まりの会のクリスマス前のアフタヌーンティーの日でした。去年はアランデルのティールームで行われましたが、今年は普段集まっている場所の１つ、アランデルのミュージアムで行われ、持ち寄りのティーパーティーになりました。いろいろ考えましたが、その時に見たリストあったのは甘いものばかりだったので、甘くない系のスコーンにしました。お菓子教室で数ヶ月前に習った、ベーコン、ドライトマト、コンテチーズが入ったスコーン。全粒粉も入っているので普通のスコーンとはかなり違う、やや固めの食感です。習った時は少し水分が足りなくてぼろぼろしましたが、今日はほんの少し水分を増やしたので上手く作ることが出来ました。皆さんが持ってこられたものを並べたテーブルの写真を撮り忘れてしまったのですが、手作りのものよりもスーパーで買ったものが多かったです。

There was a Christmas Afternoon Tea gathering of the embroidery group I belong to today.  Last year it was held at a tea room in Arundel but this year it was held at Arundel Museum and everyone brought something.  I thought of a few different things but in the end decided to take savoury scones as when I read the list where people wrote down what they were bringing I didn’t see many savoury things.  They are the ones I leaned at the Zoom French Baking Class with bacon, sun dried tomato & Comte cheese.  As it has some wholemeal as well the texture is on the hard side but nice to have with wine (although there was no wine today).  When I learned it I didn’t have quite enough moisture so struggled to make it well but this time I added a very tiny bit of milk and it worked well.   I forgot to take a photo of the table with what people brought but the majority were things that had been bought rather than made.

刺繍の集まりは今年は今日が最後、次回は年が明けて１月の中旬になります。

Today was the last gathering of the embroidery group this year and the next one will be in the middle of January next year.
