今年のクリスマスリースは、去年もオーダーしたところにオーダーしました。モダンでスタイリッシュな感じで、とリクエストして届いたリース。

I ordered a Christmas wreath from the same online shop as last year; this year, my request was for “modern and stylish”.

イギリス全体かどうかはわからないのですが、この辺り、結構クリスマスのライティングをされているお家が多く、わたしたちが住んでいるクロースにある７軒も５軒はライティングをしています。１軒、かなり本格的にされているお家（唯一、小さなお子さんがおられるお家）もありますが、他は我が家と同じ程度のライティングです。我が家はこれ。夜はこの辺りは街灯もないので真っ暗になるので、このライティングはかなり明るいです。

I don’t know if it’s typical or not, but we see a lot of houses with Christmas lights and 5 out of the 7 houses in our close have some lights.  One of them, which belongs to a family with small children, has very impressive lights, but others have more or less the same amount of ours.  There is no street lighting around here so it gets very dark once the sun goes so these lights look very bright.
