今日はお天気予報より気温が上がり、昨日と変わらない温度（２４度）でした。ただ、午前中から午後前半は曇っていて、ちょうどお茶の時間の頃に太陽が顔を出しましたが、昨日より少し湿度が高めで風もなく蒸し暑く感じたので、わたしはあまり日中は外に座らず。夕方には涼しくなりました。

It got hotter than forecasted and it was about 24C during the day.  It was quite cloudy until early afternoon, then around tea time the sun came out.  It felt a little humid and without a breeze I felt it was too warm so I spent the day mostly in my craft room with the aircon on a few times for a short time each time.  It did get cooler in the evening, though.

昨日書きましたが、今日も夕食はバーベキュー。昨日と同じの、セインズベリーズで買ったバーガーを半分ずつとチキンの胸肉（マンゴー、チリ、ココナッツのマリネ）、とうもろこし。今日はソーセージやピラフはなし。昨日のサラダがほんの少し残っていたのでそれと、桃と生ハムのサラダを作りました。どれも美味しかったです！(忘れていました、赤パプリカにニンニク、トマト、オリーブオイルを入れてアルミホイルで包んだのも焼きました。)

Like I wrote yesterday, we had BBQ again for dinner today.  Just like yesterday we shared a burger (from Sainsbury’s) and some chicken breast (marinaded in mango, chilli & coconut, also from Sainsbury’s) and sweetcorn but no sausage and no pilau rice today.  There was very little salad left from yesterday so we had that and also I made an additional Peach & Cured Ham Salad.  It was all very good. (I forgot to add that we also cooked red pepper filled with garlic, tomato and olive oil, wrapped in aluminium foil in BBQ.)

イギリスではバーベキューは男性の仕事、というのが一般的で、夫も張り切ってしてくれます。今日は昨日より手際良く出来たようでしたが、年に何回かしかしないので次回する時には忘れてしまっているのですよね。

In general, men are in charge of BBQ in England and my husband always takes care of the actual BBQ cooking.  He is getting used to it and did better today, he said, but as he does it only a few times a year he will have forgotten when he does it again next year.
