今日は、お昼から West Dean に行きました。今日も素晴らしいお天気で、暑いくらい、２７度まで上がったようでした。幸い、湿気はないのでパラソルで凌げましたが、日陰ではない風のないところを長く歩いているとかなり暑く感じました。藤の花はもう終わっていて残念でしたが、たくさん羊の赤ちゃんを見ることが出来ました。暑いのもありますが、羊がたくさんいるところを歩いたので驚かさないようにゆっくりと歩いたので運動にはなりませんでしたが、気持ちよかったです。歩いたあとは、いつものお茶とケーキをカフェでいただきました。ケーキはコーヒーと胡桃のケーキですがアーモンドフラワーがたっぷりと使われていてとても美味しかったです。

We went to West Dean after lunch.  We are still having beautiful weather, it went up to 27C where we were, and was very warm.  Fortunately it’s dry so a parasol helped a lot but it did feel very hot after we walked for a while, specially where we were in the sun directly and there was no breeze.  Sad that the wisterias were over but we saw a lot of cute little lambs.  Partly because it was warm but also because we didn’t want to scare the sheep and lambs we walked very slowly today so it wasn’t really much exercise, but we enjoyed walking there.  After walking for a while we had tea and cake at the cafe.  The coffee was Coffee & Walnut cake, which had a lot of almond powder and was delicious.
