昨日は、夫の大学時代からのお友達ご夫婦とランチをご一緒しました。ランチの場所は、お互いの家と家の大体真ん中くらいにある Lewes にある「Rights Of Man」というパブに行きました。午前中はかなり曇っていましたが、お昼くらいから晴れました。このところ良いお天気の日が多いので、車で走っていると景色がとっても綺麗です。この写真は、家の近くまで戻ってきてアランデルを見下ろす景色の良いところで撮りました。アランデル城も見えます（一番目立っている建物）。

Yesterday, we had lunch with my husband’s friend couple from university.  We often meet them around Lewes as it’s more or less in the middle between us and yesterday we went to a pub “The Rights Of Man” in Lewes High Street.  It was very cloudy in the morning but became sunny in the afternoon.  As the weather has been relatively good whenever we go out in a car we can enjoy the beautiful English scenery.  This is a view from a place not far from us, looking down on the town of Arundel, where you can see Arundel Castle.

 

 

 

 

夫は、ソーセージ＆マッシュ、ソーセージはあまり好みではなかったみたいでした。

My husband had Sausages & Mash, he said the sausages didn’t seem to have a lot of flavour.

 

 

わたしは「Katsu Chicken」のバーガー。昨日の夕食もバーガーでしたが（笑）今日はチキンカツのバーガー。割と美味しかったです。

I had Katsu Chicken Burger.  I had a beef burger on the day before yesterday, but this one was chicken katsu, it was quite good.

 

 

そして、デザートにダークチョコレートのテリーヌをシェアー、結構ヘビーだったのでわたしはほんの少しだけいただきました。

Then we shared “Dark Chocolate” terrine, our friends also had the same dessert to share.  It was quite heavy so I only had a little but my husband enjoyed the rest.

 

 

クルーズに行く直前にお目にかかって以来だったのでクルーズで寄稿した場所の話しや、お２人が少し前に買い始めた犬の話し、お２人のお子さん、お孫さん、その他のご家族のお話などなど、あれこれキャッチアップ出来て楽しいひとときでした。

We last saw these friends just before we left for our cruise holiday in early April, but not since, so we talked about our cruise, the places we’d been to, their dog that they got a little while ago, their children, grandchildren and other members of their families etc.  It was lovely to catch up.
