Lunch At “Fig Cafe” In Rustington

March started yesterday!  2 months have gone while we were having rain after rain but it looks like we have quite a few sunny days ahead this week!  Yay!

As it was lovely and sunny today we wanted to go out but we know the country walks are still very muddy so we just went to a cafe, “Fig Cafe” in Rustington.  We enjoyed the lovely scenery for 15 minutes to get there.  My husband had Scrambled Egg With Smoked Salmon & Grilled Tomatoes on Sourdough Toast.  I had Humus & Spinach Sandwich but I asked if they could toast the bread and the staff kindly said they can – but when it arrived it wasn’t toasted.  So, while they were toasting my sandwich, I took a photo of my husband’s lunch and forgot to take mine when it came.  It was very nice.

After lunch, we went into the bookshop nearby and spent a while there before coming back.  As soon as we got back, we both did some gardening because there were a few things that needed doing.  Now, we have cut back most of Penstemon (we got tired and left some) and the garden is looking a lot nicer.  The crocuses look like they are going but suddenly narcissuses are flowering in the back garden.  However, the narcissuses in the front garden are still in buds – though some of them actually flowered in October for some reason.  The weather was lovely and it is end of winter so I guess many people have been waiting for some good weather to do gardening, our neighbours on both sides of us were also working in their gardens.
