昨日はベニスは曇っていて肌寒かったのですが、今日は晴れて暑いくらいになりました。気温は17度と低めですが、太陽が出ると暑くなります。
It was cloudy in Venice yesterday so it felt quite cold and we were wearing a puffy gilet under a jacket but it’s very sunny today so feels quite hot even though the temperature isn’t very different.
実は今回のベニス旅行、来週火曜日から2泊しようと電車もホテルも予約していましたが、３日間ずっとお天気が悪い予報で、2日しかないのにずっと雨は残念過ぎるということで 昨日から2泊に変更したのでした。今は来週火曜日、水曜日のお天気予報は少し良くなって一時雨に変わっていますが、昨日、今日の方が安定していて良かったです。
We had initially booked the trains and the hotel for our trip to Venice for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week but then changed to yesterday and today because the weather forecast was basically rain all the time on our originally chosen days. It looks better now for next week as it now says just showers but I’m still glad we changed as it’s been more stable.
今日は、ホテル近くのお店で軽くパニーニをランチに食べてから、ヴァポレットでムラノグラスで有名なムラノ島に行き、2年前にグラスを買ったお店で今回もグラスを買いました。2年前も初めてのクルーズの後で4月の大体同じ頃に来たと思いますが、カンカン照りですごく暑かったのを覚えています。
We had panini at a little place near the hotel for lunch today and then took a vaporetto to Murano as we wanted to get some glasses from a shop, where we’d bought some 2 years ago. We found some that we liked and bought them. When we visited Murano 2 years ago at the end of our first cruise holiday it was just around the same time in April but I remember it was incredibly hot that day.
ムラノ島から戻ってからホテルに戻る前にサンマルコ広場の300年の歴史のある有名なカフェ「カフェ・フローリアン」ですごく高価な冷たいもので休憩。優雅な生演奏付き。
After coming back from Murano we stopped at the famous “Cafe Florian”, which has been there for 300 years, listening to the live music while enjoying our refreshments. Very civilized (but outrageously expensive)!
